Dr. Rupin Shah is a known Urologist having known for his specialization in Andrology, which is a super-specialty dealing with male infertility and impotence. He is among the leading experts in India in these subjects. With his MS in General Surgery & MCH in Urology from Bombay University he left to Belgium for hig advance training in Andrological microsurgery in the year 1986. He is among the first Indian urologist go for such a high end training from India with azoospermia, microsurgical vasectomy reversal & microsurgical varicocelectomy. He is known to conduct a wide range of training workshops in India and abroad while demonstrating microsurgical treatment for male infertility. He is associated with a wide range of IVF centres and has one of the best experience in sperm retrieval procedures in azoospermia. Some of his other areas of interest include Organic erectile dysfunction treatment, which is a field wherein this man has many contributions. He is known to develop India's first penile prosthesis which is a popular procedure called penile implant in India. He has won a number of awards including the Gold Medal from Urological Society of India and has recently been applauded with the esteemed Dr. B C Roy National Award for his contribution in the field of Andrology in India.

In the late eighties, when Dr. Shah instead of trying his luck in general urology he felt focusing on exclusive Andrology.
