He has expertise in complex reconstructive procedures for Stricture Urethra, penile deformities, Hypospadias, male erectile (prosthetic) surgery and male fertility. He is also an expert Endourologist well versed with all kind of procedures for kidney stones and enlarged prostate. Dr Gautam has also gained reputation in field of andrology and sexual rehabilitation. 

He has had training in Urethral Reconstructive surgery from Kulkarni Reconstructive Urology center, Pune India, considered as one of the best centers in the world for urethral and penile surgeries. He is an experienced urethral reconstructive surgeon having performed over 100 urethroplasties (Traumatic and other causes) and Hypospadias repair. He has also performed more than 75 Retrograde Intrarenal Surgeries (RIRS) and HOLEP (Laser treatment for enlarged prostate. He is also one of the few Urologists who are performing Mini-PCNL. 

In addition to his private practice, Dr Gautam is working with various centers in Delhi NCR region as consultant urologist.
